We’ve been Rêver(ing) for a year now!
We distinctly remember the feeling, nervously pressing the share button on our first social media post, one year ago, today! After months of research, meticulous planning and countless hours spent on calls, our dream was finally turning into reality. We were very aware that while we might put in our best efforts, starting a business during a pandemic would bring a set of unforeseen challenges. We didn’t know what to expect, but we knew that it was either now or a tomorrow that never comes.
We reached out to people from both our personal networks, telling them what we planned on doing and hoping for support, maybe a potential client. Each of them was so open and welcoming, keen to share their insights and learnings, giving us the boost we needed to start. After sending out a few messages and cold emails, our first project finally came through. Studio Rêver was up and running.
Each day has come with a new challenge, but also a new learning experience. Both of us have taken on various roles in trying to build Rêver. From designers to recruiters and even accountants, each role has been a great learning experience. Now, having a team that truly understands our vision and also believes in it as their own makes it all seem easy.
A huge shoutout to our lovely team that loves dreaming with us. Niyati, our truly Gen-Z person, juggles all forms of marketing, be it social media, website development, content or calls, and can even style the perfect shoot. Pallavi, our in-house Visual Merchandising genie, whose new goal is to create a pop-up in as many restaurants as possible, giving her the perfect excuse to enjoy their food over and over again! We’re currently hoping she doesn't switch careers to food blogging. Nirali, the newest entrant to our team, drawing, measuring and planning all our dreams. Sanjay, who sometimes has more faith in us than we do and has never said no to a challenge! Eshika, Neev, Ajuni, Shyamolie, Danisha and Bhumika, who have worked tirelessly over the past year!
This past year has taught us to believe in ourselves and in our dreams. We’ve been fortunate to work with clients who’ve trusted us to bring their vision to life and helped us express our creativity in a fun and new way. We have a long way to go, but each day brings us closer to our dream. Rêver is to dream, to imagine and that’s exactly what we’ve been doing for a year now!
